Darwin Fisher Partner Pro-Con: Since 2010
General contractor Pro-Con Construction, based in Mississauga, ON, has been a Darwin Fisher partner company for many years. The relationship with Pro-Con began in early 2010. Since that time, we have worked on a number of diversified projects. As both companies have the same philosophy in terms of quality, service and customer satisfaction, the initial project has evolved to a long-standing union. Since the first partner installation over seven years ago, Darwin Fisher has completed over 100 projects, across a number of industry segments.
Pro-Con has often partnered with Darwin Fisher due to our experience. Our group of highly trained experts work with our partners to customize and restore corporate and commercial spaces, bringing them to life. This includes retail store build outs, residential units, government offices and much more.
Our first job working with Pro-Con began with Service Canada in St. Thomas, ON. See project here. Since that time, installations with Pro-Con have included seniors homes and residential units for Cedarbrooke Lodge and Weston Gardens. We have also executed projects for Dollar Store Plus and SupperWorks, in addition to retail sector, big-box stores.
Darwin Fisher Partner Projects: NFL, Winners, Service Canada
Earlier this year we partnered with Pro-Con for a Winner’s Merchants International installation. The department store chain required a new fit at Lindsay Square Mall in Lindsay, ON. This location represents the first store in Canada to apply Winner’s new, modern and more upscale design. Changes included a wood grain luxury vinyl tile floor finish and accent areas, in addition to vinyl tile, providing a more sophisticated look.
Other installation projects with Pro-Con include Sunlife Financial Canada, Bentall-Kennedy, Indusite Realty Corporation and Davpart Real Estate Investment and Property Management. We’ve also worked with corporate clients on furniture lift projects (we own a furniture lift system called Levitate that allows your carpet to be replaced without dismantling your employee workstations) such as the National Football League.
As part of all of these projects we have installed a wide variety of materials including carpet, resilient/hard surfaces and hardwood and laminate.
While materials and installation is the cornerstone of what we do, we follow a proven partner process to keep projects running on time and budget, with minimal disruption. Our proven process focuses on seven key areas.
The Darwin Fisher Partner Process
1. Collaboration
We provide scope and specifications planning to the smallest detail; this includes take offs of the required space to help the client understand how the product will look in relation to the surface area in question.
2. Specified product
We provide product performance/cost ratios to ensure that the budget meets all project parameters. We also provide verification samples to confirm the product is representative of what the designer or client requires (an important process in eliminating any material errors before work starts).
3. Budget
We provide line item budgets that capture the details of site preparation factors and offer guidance on potential issues and procedures to remedy the problem. This includes post installation maintenance and various details that are inherent to each unique installation. This gives our partners the data needed to notify the client in advance of the project at hand.
4. Site Supervision
We continually make sure our project managers are on site to offer proactive solutions should any problems arise. Our seasoned staff work with all on-site trades/contractors assigned, ensuring effective and efficient co-ordination of activities.
5. Quality
We ensure specifications are met and quality is at the highest level. You can depend on us to provide a smooth project transition. We are reliable, proactive and always prepared to meet requirements to the highest standard.
6. Punctuality
We ensure that our portion of the project will be delivered within the time frame required. When the project starts, we order materials and needed inventory, which we store at our warehouse if required. We then assign our experts to the project site to oversee installation. This ensures every project is on time.
7. After Service
We are always available after the job is complete to meet the full satisfaction of our partner network. We accompany our clients on a site walk through to ensure all project specifications are met. Our clients are then given the flooring maintenance requirements and warranty manuals for installed products.
